The 13th China International Energy Storage Conference was held at Hangzhou InterContinental Hotel on May 24-26, 2023. It was jointly guided by the Energy Conservation and Comprehensive Utilization Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Energy Conservation and Science and Technology Equipment Department of the National Energy Administration, and organized by the China Chemical and Physical Power Association and more than 240 institutions.

Over 1,011 companies from different fields such as industry-related institutions, domestic and foreign agencies in China, scientific research institutions, power grid enterprises, power generation enterprises, system integrators, financial institutions, and other industrial chains and supply chains, along with 5,417 guests, participated in this year's event, with 245 companies showcasing energy storage products, making it a grand event covering the entire new energy storage industry chain, including system integration, cells, PCS, BMS, containers, fire protection, testing and certification, etc. The event's special forums retained 11 special forums such as "Dual Carbon" goals, new power systems, energy storage system integration, independent shared energy storage, new energy storage systems, lithium-ion energy storage, energy storage safety and fire protection, testing and certification and standards, energy storage and power markets, and energy storage financing (upper and lower). Stakeholders from the political, corporate, research, and industry association circles engaged in discussions on hot topics in the industry.

With the rapid development of global energy storage, China's energy storage has also entered the "fast lane" of rapid development under the influence of policy and other factors. According to the statistical data of the China Energy Storage Application Branch of the China Chemical and Physical Power Sources Association, the cumulative installed capacity of new energy storage in China reached 11.5GW by the end of 2022. In 2023, considering that the supply of raw materials is gradually easing, the new energy storage policies in various places are gradually improving, and the independent energy storage business model is constantly optimized, it is expected that the energy storage power station will continue to maintain high-speed growth, and it is expected that the new energy storage market in China will reach 15GW-20GW in 2023.
